FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Do you know the cast list, venues or schedules for any upcoming productions?
A: Anything that I know, I have already included on this site. I am only a fan paying tribute to a show that I love, and I'm no way affiliated with Disney Theatrical and as such do not have any "latest" information besides what is already officially out in the internet. There are probably even mistakes in the info I have here, which is why I appreciate submitted corrections from others.
Q: How do I audition for the show?
A: I don't have this information. I'm only a fan, and am not affiliated with Disney Theatrical in any way.
Q: Are the parts of the show that are not in the movie all from the books?
A: Some are, such as Mrs. Corry and her daughters in the sweet shop, Robertson Ay the servant, Miss Andrew the terrible nanny and the toys (including Valentine) coming to life to taunt Jane and Michael when they're naughty. But there are also parts that are unique to the show alone, such as George Banks' sad childhood, George Banks' dilemma with Northbrook and Von Hussler, and Winifred Banks' desire to become a good socialite wife.
Q: How many Mary Poppins books are there?
A: There are EIGHT: "Mary Poppins", "Mary Poppins Comes Back", "Mary Poppins Opens the Door", "Mary Poppins in the Park", "Mary Poppins From A to Z", "Mary Poppins in the Kitchen", "Mary Poppins in Cherry Tree Lane" and "Mary Poppins and the House Next Door". The first four books are generally the easiest to find these days.
Q: Do you know how the on-stage tricks in the show are done?
A: I know how some of the tricks are done, either from reading the official book of the musical or from my own observations from watching the show multiple times (heh). I've made the choice not to include the explanations on this site, so not to spoil for the show for those who haven't seen it. But if you're really burning to know something, feel free to send me an email at
Q: Why doesn't your lyrics page have lyrics for all the songs in the show?
A: I only include the lyrics for songs that are in the Original London Cast Recording.
Q: Why does the Swedish production look so different from the others?
A: This is because the Swedish show wasn't produced by Disney Theatrical directly. It was licensed by Disney Theatrical to Josef Weinberger Limited, who reinterpreted the show and its characters.
