When the production moves to Tempe, Arizona, the cast will have a bunch of new additions: Caroline Sheen (the original UK tour Mary) as Mary, Laird Mackintossh as George Banks, Blythe Wilson as Winifred Banks, Rachel Izen as Mrs Brill and Dennis Moench as Robertson Ay. He reprised his role as Mr. Dawes Sr. from the film, a role that's not actually in the stage musical but I'm sure instantly recognisable to the audience that night. (OMG) 4th August 2009 The US tour's engagement at Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles is extended to 7 February 2010. 30th July 2009 WKYC.com has an article HERE which includes a video with ensemble members Jesse Swimm and Tiffany Howard talking about the US tour. 18th July 2009 Add a whole bunch of new pictures to the London, Broadway and UK tour galleries. I've also added a note in the story synopsis that in the US tour production, "Temper Temper" has been replaced by "Playing the Game".

18th July 2009 This is a bit of delayed news, but there's an article HERE on the "A Spoonful of Stiles and Drewe" concert (which was held at the end of last year) with a picture of Lisa O'Hare holding the Mary Poppins measuring tape as she starts to sing a special version of "Practically Perfect", in which Scarlett Strallen and Caroline Sheen join her. This version of the song is available in the concert CD. 14th July 2009 The Australian production will open at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne, next year.

23rd January 2009: A new 45th Anniversary Edition DVD for the Disney film will be released on January 27, and it will contain a new 45-minute documentary with behind-the-scenes interviews and on-stage footage of the Broadway musical, with Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee helping out. Amazon link. 29th December 2008: There was a special performance of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious at Disney World Resort on Christmas day, with Ashley Brown and Gavin Lee momentarily surfacing to play Mary and Bert. 22nd November 2008: Broadway.com has a backstage video feature with Scarlett and Adam at the New Amsterdam Theatre. 14th November 2008: Theatermania has a video interview with Scarlett and Adam (the current Mary and Bert on Broadway), which features on-stage footage of the duo in the show. 11th November 2008: The US National tour will be dropping by the Ahmanson Theatre in Los Angeles from 13 November 2009 to 9 January 2010. The Dutch production will be opening at the Circus Theatre in Scheveningen, Holland in April 2010. 7th November 2008: For the US National tour, there will be a tour stop in Dallas, Texas at the Music Hall (Fair Park) from 24 September to 18 October 2009. 9th October 2008: Cast change on Broadway! Scarlett Strallen and Adam Fiorentino make their Broadway debuts today in the lead roles of Mary Poppins and Bert respectively. Jessica Sheridan has also taken over as Miss Lark. 6th October 2008: Ashley and Gavin have performed their last show at the New Amsterdam Theatre, marking the end of their run in the Broadway production. They're now on a break before heading on for the US national tour. The exact dates for the first three venues of the US tour have also been announced: Cadillac Palace Theatre, Chicago (11 Mar 2009 to 17 May 2009), The State Theatre, Cleveland (17 Jul 2009 to 9 Aug 2009) and Fox Theatre, St. Louis (13 Aug 2009 to 30 Aug 2009).

The Playhouse, Edinburgh (Oct. 1 to Dec. 6) The Palace Theatre, Manchester (Dec. 10 March 7 2009) The Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff (March 11 to April 18) 19th August 2007: There's a "Ask a Star" video feature with Ashley Brown here, in which she answers questions posed by fans. There are also pictures of a new "Mary Poppins" sundae here and here. Some weeks ago, Broadway's Mary Poppins crew performed a few songs from the show at Bryant Park. On the London side, the current principals of Scarlett Strallen and Gavin Creel will be staying on until the show's final curtain call in January next year.

11th November 2005: It's been announced that the Mary Poppins stage musical is arriving in Broadway on the 14th of October 2006. 29th October 2005: Broadway.com has uploaded a video featuring footage from the West End musical and interviews with Laura Michelle Kelly, Gavin Lee, Linzi Hateley, Jenny Galloway, Megan Covery and Jack Pierce. Today is also the last day for the full original London cast to perform together on stage.

13th November 2005: Not really much of an update, but I've reorganised the gallery. 17th October 2005: Added a few more pictures from both the movie and stage musical to the image gallery. The overview page for the movie is also up. 14th October 2005: I've added the lyrics to the songs from the movie. Typing out lyrics turned out to be much more tiring than I'd expected. *phew* 12th October 2005: The image gallery is now up.
